What we collect,
and why.

Last updated June 2026. We use straightforward language because the alternative is dishonest.

01Creator data

Only what's already public

CreatorBenchmarks reads public profile and post data from TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube: handle, follower and following counts, public posts, captions, comment volume, and basic engagement metrics. We do not access private accounts, private follower lists, DMs, Stories, or any non-public surface, and we never ask anyone for their password.

Benchmarks live behind a login and are shown to the account holder who looked them up. There are no public, indexable benchmark pages.

02Account holders

What we store about you

If you create an account, we store:

  • Your identity from our auth provider (email and name); sign-in itself is handled by Clerk, not us.
  • Your workspace: team and members, projects, tracked creators, monitors, scheduled reports, and saved searches.
  • Usage metering: your lookup allowance and how much you’ve used.
  • Billing metadata from Stripe (we never see your card number).

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties outside the operational tools listed below, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.

03Subprocessors

The tools that touch your data

  • Clerk — authentication and session management.
  • Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing.
  • Resend — transactional email (team invites and scheduled reports).
  • Our cloud hosting provider — application hosting and the managed database.

That’s the full list. If we add a sub-processor, we update this page.

04Creator data removal

If you're a creator and don't want to be benchmarked

We benchmark public profiles. If you’re a creator and want your handle excluded, email privacy@creatorbenchmarks.com with the handle. Removal happens within seven days, and your data is excluded from any future model training.

We will not retaliate, gate, or argue with creators who request removal.

05Cookies

Almost none

We use cookies only for sign-in session state, set by our auth provider. No advertising cookies, no third-party trackers, no fingerprinting.
